Grandma's Hungarian Coffee Cake

• Ingredients

  • 1 cup of margarine or butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted flower
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

• Ingredients For Topping

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  Mix the topping ingredients together

Directions

Cream butter well with sugar:
add eggs (one at a time) beat constantly.
Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and baking soda into batter.
Pour in half of the batter into the greased pan then half of the topping.
Then add both of the other halfs of batter and topping into the pan.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
After 30 min open the oven and turn the cake around to the other side and let if finish baking.
